I used to waste my time in commuting doing nothing but listen to music. Sometimes it’s important to declutter and relax, but most times you’re just WASTING your precious time. To increase productivity I started to listen to podcasts.
The feeling that I needed to change this bad habit of wasting time with nothing moved me. I picked up my kindle to read while I was heading to work in the bus and, guess what, I discovered that the movement of the bus made my eyes tremble and I couldn’t read because it made me feel dazed and nauseated.
Then I felt it was the time to change the way I would read. Then I started to listen to audiobooks with a major bad preconception for it but I was out of choices.
I had this thought: “I love my books, how could I listen to something that was made to read?”
Then, BOOM! A blast for my soul. It was the most amazing experience at the time.
Finding out about audiobooks was the first step to my podcast journey.
I bought my first iPhone back in 2012, It was and is very expensive in Brazil. An native app drove my attention. It was called ‘podcasts’.
I didn’t know what the heck was a podcast ’till late 2013. In fact a few people in Brazil knew what was that.
So, what matters is that I was in front of the best resource to kill my unproductive time and help me out in the process.
Suddenly I was an avid listener for the craziest amount of podcasts shows. My listening skills from english language helped me a lot over the years.
Here it goes a list of the best podcasts that I found over these years in the topics of productivity and self-development.

Sample Episode: #214 – How to Design a Life – Debbie Millman
Tim Ferris is an outstanding professional for self-improvement. I discovered him in a Ted Talks back in the days.
It’s a long list of things that he does, like books, speaking, blogging, coaching and the podcast is the most impressive.
He has huge numbers, but for us, that doesn’t matter much.
What matters most is the help we’ll get between one tip and another.
Look at his huge podcast guest list:
I love it, he takes it to another level. They talk about their routines, mindset, techniques and other stuff. Simply amazing.
That was my list of the greatest podcasts that I listen in a daily basis. You’ll like some of them more of the others but I’m sure you will like them all.
Do this and start growing your ‘better you’ and leaving bad habits behind. Invest in you.
If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life is made up of.
